What is SFPL's summer reading program?

SFPL's summer reading program is self-led: we provide the paper materials (or you can print them from the website) and you participate at your own pace in your own time. The program is intended to encourage readers of all ages to start, or continue, a good habit of reading every day! The library programming offered through June and July 2022 for different ages is simply exciting incentives to get you inside the library, looking at books, and having some cool fun this summer.

The READING part is up to you. Read whatever you choose.

Keep track of your reading, participate in free events and activities offered by the library and you can earn rewards. It is that easy!

SFPL also has a limited edition library card design competition this year that is part of our SR series. Those submissions are due on June 15, 2022(see entry form for details) and are for anyone ages 18 and younger living in Baldwin County, AL.

The "Oceans of Possibilities" Summer Reading 2022 program with the Spanish Fort Public Library(SFPL) runs from June 2022 to July 31, 2022 and registration is happening now!

Materials can be picked up for the program starting June 1, 2022 at the Spanish Fort Public Library.

KONA ICE will be giving out free snow cones on Tuesday June 7th during our Summer Reading Kickoff Fest from 3 to 5pm. That is a great day to visit!

All library programs are FREE for the entire community.

SFPL offers programs for every age.

Check the events and registration page for more information and links for any necessary registration.

Some programs require pre-registration and will say so on the event.
