UPDATE: April 2025

What's that noise!?
Work is finished in the building.
The elevator has been installed and passed all necessary safety checks. Cleanup has begun to dust and polish the new space in preparation for public use.
Library patrons can expect official news soon from the City of Spanish Fort administration regarding the availability and use of the elevator.
As always, we have sincerely appreciated your patience during this process.
Thank you :)
PREVIOUS UPDATE: January 2025
Work is ongoing in the building.
Library patrons can continue to expect the loud noises of hammering and machinery periodically while they are inside the building.
Other than noise that can be heard through the walls, this work is only affect a small portion of the upstairs library common area. Library staff does not expect the construction to intrude on any other areas of the library at this time.
Storytimes and programs are still being held and schedules for those events can be found on the EVENT calendar page. Locations for these programs are ever changing during this process, but will always be in the building or on the grounds. For more information on this or any other concerns feel free to ask any staff member.
Spanish Fort Public Library staff will attempt to keep this page up to date with information regarding changes inside the library before, during, and after this process.
We thank our wonderful patrons in advance for their patience and kindness during this process :)
